Our Infant Program:
A Sanctuary of Snuggles & Discovery
Ages: 6 Weeks – 12 Months
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is one of the biggest milestones a parent faces. At Lil Leopards, we don’t just offer childcare; we offer a home away from home where your child is treated like part of our own family.
🍼 The "Cuddle-First" Philosophy
We believe that for a baby to learn, they must first feel completely safe and loved. Our infant classroom is built on a foundation of responsive care. This means we don’t follow a rigid "center schedule"—we follow your baby’s schedule.
On-Demand Feeding: We feed your baby when they are hungry.
Naps on Their Terms: We provide a quiet, safe sleep space whenever your baby is tired.
Constant Connection: Our teachers prioritize eye contact, soft talking, and plenty of "held" time to build a secure attachment.
🧠 Brain-Boosting Fun (Yes, even for babies!)
While they may be small, their brains are growing at lightning speed! Our teachers use age-appropriate play to spark early development:
Tummy Time Adventures: Strengthening neck and core muscles with colorful mirrors and textured toys.
Sensory Exploration: Safe, tactile experiences with different fabrics, sounds, and soft blocks.
Language Immersion: We talk, sing, and read to our infants all day long to build the foundations of communication.
First Milestones: Whether it’s their first time rolling over or their first "clapping" moment, we are there to cheer them on (and send you a photo!).
🛡️ Safety & Peace of Mind
As parents of three ourselves, we know that safety is non-negotiable.
Certified Care: Every teacher in our infant room is fully certified in CPR and Pediatric First Aid.
Sanitization Stations: We maintain strict cleaning protocols for toys, cribs, and changing areas to keep our tiniest students healthy.
Open Communication: Receive real-time updates through the Brightwheel app! You’ll know exactly when your baby ate, napped, and had a diaper change, complete with photos of their daily adventures.
🧺 What to Pack
To make your transition as smooth as possible, we recommend bringing:
Labeled Bottles: For formula or breastmilk.
Diapers & Wipes: We will alert you via the app when your "stash" is running low!
Two Changes of Clothes: For those "oops" moments.
A Sleep Sack: For safe, cozy nap times (no loose blankets per state safety regs).
Pacifier: If your child uses one.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
We follow Safe Sleep guidelines strictly. Every infant is laid to sleep on their backs, has their own dedicated crib with a firm mattress and a tight-fitted sheet. No blankets, pillows, or toys are allowed in the cribs. We use sleep sacks to keep babies cozy, and our teachers monitor sleeping infants at all times.
-
Absolutely! We are a breastfeeding-friendly center and are happy to store and prepared expressed milk according to your instructions. For formula-fed babies, you can bring pre-measured water and formula or pre-mixed bottles. Everything must be clearly labeled with your child’s full name and the date.
-
We check diapers every two hours (or sooner if needed!). Every change is logged in Brightwheel so you can see exactly when it happened and if any supplies are running low.
-
Yes! While it looks like "just play," our infant curriculum is designed to hit developmental milestones. We focus on Sensory Play (touch/sound), Language Enrichment (singing/reading), and Gross Motor Skills (tummy time and reaching). We believe the best "curriculum" for an infant is a responsive, talking, and singing teacher!
-
We have a "Shoes-Off" policy in our infant room to keep floors clean for our crawlers. Toys that go in mouths are immediately moved to a "sanitization bin" to be washed and disinfected. We also deep-clean all high-touch surfaces and cribs daily.
